Candle Care

Candle Care

  • Always burn your candles within sight.
  • All of our candles are made with FSC certified wooden wicks and precut for your initial use.
  • Please be sure to trim your candle wicks 1/4-1/8 of an inch prior to relighting. This will maintain the quality of your candle by preventing tall flames, black smoke, and sooting on the sides of your candle holder.
  • Burn your candle for at least 2 hours on the initial burn to allow the wax to melt completely across the top surface of the candle from edge to edge of your candle holder. (Candles have memory, this will preserve your candle)
  • Do not burn your candle longer than 4 hours at a time. (This can cause the candle wick to become unstable and the flame to become too large)
  • Always let your candle cool and the wax re-harden prior to relighting.

Burn Guide

  • Never move your candle while lit.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Keep candle away from drafts and vibrations.
  • Always burn your candle on a level surface.
  • Never burn candle on or near anything that can catch fire.
  • Keep candle clean and free of external materials such as wick trimmings or anything that can catch on fire.
  • When burning two or more candles, allow 3-4 inches of distance between them.
  • Always allow 1/2 of an inch to remain at the end of the candle to avoid the candle holder from becoming too hot and shattering or heat damage to the underlying surface.
